Between the villages of Pommern and Karden, about a 15-minute drive from the Farmhaus, the well-known Martberg rises on a hilltop. In ancient times, it was a religious and political center for many centuries. In the Roman era, a Gallo-Roman temple district of supra-regional importance grew up here. Large parts of the temple complex have been rebuilt on the ancient foundations and give a vivid picture of how the Celts and Romans lived and worshipped.
