A great experience

Rent a canoe and take a tour, for example from Ernst to Treis-Karden (passing our other vacation homes, the Mosel Chalets, by the way ;)).

After a thorough briefing, you’ll set off about 9 miles (15 km) upriver and paddle downstream past Valwig, the towering Brauselay cliffs, Cochem, Pommern and our Mosel Chalets, along the largest nature reserve on the Mosel, all the way to Treis. Once you arrive in Treis, a shuttle takes you back – or you can pick up bikes there and just keep going.

Available roughly from mid-April to the end of September, depending on the weather. From €26 per person in a two-person canoe. The tour takes about 3 hours and is suitable for kids too.

Other tours are of course possible, or you can plan your very own route and just rent the equipment 😉
